Studer Group Announces 2017 Fire Starter Hall of Fame Winners

Awards & Recognition

Pensacola, Fla. (June 1, 2017)—Healthcare needs all the passionate, committed, energetic leaders it can get right now. That’s why Studer Group, a Huron solution, is proud to announce it has selected six healthcare leaders from across the U.S. and Canada for induction into the Fire Starter Hall of Fame.

The Fire Starter Hall of Fame Award is the highest award for excellence given by Studer Group. The term “fire starter” has deep roots in the company’s mission to make healthcare better for physicians, employees, and patients. A “fire starter” refers to an individual who ignites the flames of passion for healthcare excellence.

The Fire Starter Hall of Fame Award recognizes leaders who, through their dedication and passion, guide and support an organization's commitment to excellence while keeping the true spirit of their organization alive and flourishing. Since its inception in 2004, 50 healthcare leaders have been named to the Fire Starter Hall of Fame.

The Fire Starter Hall of Fame Award is given annually in conjunction with Studer Group’s best practices conference, What’s Right in Health Care®, which attracts top-performing healthcare organizations from the U.S., Canada, Australia, and beyond.

This year, six individuals will be inducted into the Fire Starter Hall of Fame at the 15th annual conference being held Aug. 1-3, 2017, in Chicago, Illinois. They are:

  • Lindsey Bradley, FACHE, Senior Vice President, Group Operations, Chief Executive Officer, CHRISTUS Northeast Texas Region (Tyler, Texas)
  • Rex Brown, President and Chief Executive Officer, Hillsboro Area Hospital (Hillsboro, Illinois)
  • Tom Huebner, President and Chief Executive Officer, Rutland Regional Medical Center (Rutland, Vermont)
