Adventist Health Wins Gold Well Workplace Award

Awards & Recognition

As an organization, Adventist Health is blessed with an active awareness of whole person health. We know that fitness, fresh air, rest, plant-powered nutrition and connection with God and others, helps our caregivers to assist others in living their most vibrant lives. With this understanding, Adventist Health Portland has taken the lead in prioritizing living well in our workplace environments.

Adventist Health Portland has recently been certified as a Gold Well Workplace by the Wellness Council of America (WELCOA). This award recognizes Adventist Health Portland’s commitment to improving the health and wellness of our team members—our most valuable asset.

The Well Workplace Award initiative recognizes organizations that have built successful results-oriented wellness programs as defined by WELCOA’s Seven Benchmarks. Submitting the Well Workplace Award Application is the final step in the Well Workplace process of implementing the Seven Benchmarks of a results-oriented wellness program.

“Adventist Health Portland team members play an essential role in improving the health and wellness of our community,” says Ed Hoover, manager of the LivingWell community and employee wellness programs. “A healthier team provides better care for our patients and models the healthy behaviors we want them to pursue to live their best lives.”
