Subaru Donates Blanket to Cancer Patients at Adventist Health Feather River

Cancer

A local car dealership is giving back to cancer patients in Paradise.

Courtesy Subaru and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society partnered to give blankets and other goodies to patients at the Adventist Health Feather River Cancer Center.

The donation is part of the Subaru Loves to Care event.

Patients said the blankets will come in handy.

“All of us need blankets because this room is a little chilly and when you're given the IVs it's a little cold it's really nice it'll be a remembrance of successful medications,” Linda Land-Smith said.

“I think it's a wonderful gift, I’m not going to use it this week, the temperatures are going to be too high this looks like a warm blanket,” Frank Green said.

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society works to find a cure for blood cancers, and tries to make patients as comfortable as possible through that process.

AH Feather River is very thankful for the generosity of the gift of blankets that will help keep their patients encouraged during their cancer journey!
