Adventist Health Tehachapi Valley Names New President

News July 31, 2017 (Tehachapi, CA) – Adventist Health Tehachapi Valley has named Jeff Lingerfelt as its new president. He will start his role at Adventist Health’s newest acquisition – which includes overseeing the upcoming transition to the nearly complete, 25-bed critical access hospital – on Aug. 14.

Lingerfelt comes to AHTV from Geneseo, Illinois, where he was the chief executive officer of Hammond-Henry Hospital. During his tenure, the hospital bought Regional Health Partners-Kewanee as well as initiated a robotic surgery program. He was named one of the 50 Critical Access Hospitals CEOs to Know in 2016.

Lingerfelt was also formerly the CEO at Heart of America Medical Center in Rugby, North Dakota. In 2015, Lingerfelt was named “Outstanding Healthcare Professional of the Year” by The Centers for Rural Health, which is part of the University of North Dakota School of Medicine.

Lingerfelt was raised in western North Carolina and graduated from Southern Adventist University and earned an MBA at the University of Mary. He and his wife, Jenny, have been married for 33 years and have three daughters and one hound dog.

Over the next several months, Lingerfelt will be getting to know the 200-plus AHTV employees (and vice-versa) as well as meeting key members of the Tehachapi Valley community. He will be at the center of a special meet-and-greet event for employees and later, one for the area physicians and members of the public.

After his arrival, Lingerfelt will be available for media interviews and other community group appearances. To make those arrangements, please contact AHTV Marketing Manager, Teresa Adamo at (661)-869-6576.
