Adventist Health Announces Partnership with Vernonia Health Board Effective July 5, 2017


Adventist Health is pleased to announce a partnership with the Vernonia Health Board to provide healthcare in the community of Vernonia at the Vernonia Health Center effective July 5, 2017. The facility will be operated by Adventist Health Tillamook Medical Group, an organization which specializes in providing rural healthcare.

Tillamook Medical Group is committed to providing top quality care in Vernonia. All patients will be seen and financial assistance is available for uninsured and under insured patients. Kelly O’Sullivan MD will be seeing patients at the Vernonia Health Center. Dr. O’Sullivan is a beloved physician and currently the director of urgent care in Tillamook. She is kind and compassionate and highly skilled. She brings a wealth of experience, leadership skills and patient-centered philosophy of care.

The clinic will see patients on a same day and appointment basis. Limited laboratory services will be available on site and imaging services will come online in the fall.

Tillamook Medical Group currently operates five rural health clinics in Manzanita, Tillamook, Pacific City and Lincoln City including three urgent care clinics, two clinics in Hoodland and Estacada and a facility-based clinic that serves inmates of the Tillamook County Jail. A new health clinic in Banks is scheduled to open later this year. Tillamook Medical Group is part of Tillamook Regional Medical Center, which employs 536 individuals including 60 physicians and providers. Tillamook Regional Medical Center has been recognized as a Top 100 Critical Access Hospital in the nation.
