UVMC Invites Patients to Focus Group to Discuss Billing and Scheduling

Community Needs, 2017

On Wednesday, February 8, 2017 Ukiah Valley Medical Center (UVMC) will host a focus group in which past patients and their family members can discuss their experiences surrounding billing and scheduling. Representatives from the Revenue Cycle Center and Financial Services Departments will be in attendance to answer questions and address concerns. This focus group is a follow-up to a billing and scheduling focus group hosted in July, 2016. “We have made many changes to our billing and scheduling departments since our July focus group and think it is time to circle back with our patients to see how our new system is working. Our patients are our first priority and their experience is important to us,” said Susan Pasasalqua, Associate Patient Centered Strategy Specialist.

Ukiah Valley Medical Center hosts many focus groups throughout the year on a wide variety of topics in order to get patient feedback. These focus groups offer solutions and ideas from a patient perspective that UVMC can then use in developing new or changing existing policies and procedures.

UVMC asks that those interested in attending the focus group RSVP to Susan Passalacqua at 707.463.7616 or Susan.Passalacqua@ah.org. The billing and scheduling focus group will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 from 5:30 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. in the Glenn Miller Conference Room located within the hospital, 275 Hospital Drive, Ukiah.
