Rideout Regional Medical Center Is Set To Open

Marysville, February 2, 2017 -- We are proud to announce that floors one through three of the new technologically advanced Rideout Regional Medical Center expansion will be opening on Thursday, February 9, 2017.

The new building is 220,000 square feet and has been designed to serve the Yuba Sutter community and our surrounding region for generations to come. It features the latest in advanced lifesaving technology and was built to provide patients with the best in clinical care, convenience and comfort. Floors one through three include:

First Floor:
Light-filled lobby; Miss Southern's Memorial Café integrating outdoor and indoor dining and an expanded menu, coffee bar, pizza station and salad bar; Expanded Gift Shop; Sophisticated diagnostic Imaging Services.

Already open is the expanded Emergency Department and Trauma service with separate entrance on 3rd Street.

Second Floor:
Cardiac Cath Lab; Ten Preparation and Recovery Bays; Cardiology Diagnostic Services; Twenty Medical/Surgical Beds; Two Room Endoscopy Suite; Interventional Radiology

Third Floor:
36 private in-patient care rooms designed to enhance the patient experience by emphasizing safety and comfort; Telemetry Nursing Unit

The expansion is beginning at 1 pm, all 1-West and 2-West acute-care patients will be transferred to the new patient care tower, floors 2 East and 3 East. We anticipate the move will be completed by 7 pm.

Also on the 9th, the new main entrance will open at 5 am to register pre-op and outpatients, and to greet and direct all visitors. The existing Main Entrance will close the night before. Security staff, volunteers and signage will be in place to aid in way-finding.

Miss Southern's Café will open to guests and employees beginning at 6:30 am on February 9th as well.

We thank our community for their continued support during the move to the new patient tower. We are very excited about our new building and look forward to meeting the needs of more patients in an environment conducive to healing and wellness for our patients, staff and physicians.
