Rideout Health Update Evacuation Information

Rideout Press Releases

Marysville February 13, 2017 – Following evacuation orders from the Yuba County and Sutter County Office of Emergency Services, mandatory evacuations are still in place for Yuba County, Sutter County and Marysville. Yuba City remains under voluntary evacuation. Accordingly, Rideout is making decisions based on current evacuation orders and the safety of our patients and staff.

Accordingly, Fremont Medical Center (located in Yuba City) will be open tomorrow, February 14, 2017 for laboring patients and patients with scheduled appointments, tests or procedures related to pregnancy. All other Fremont services will be closed.

The remaining facilities located in Yuba City and in Marysville will not be open. Therefore, patients scheduled for appointments or procedures on February 14, 2017 will be called throughout the afternoon for rescheduling. This includes patients with scheduled appointments at physician clinics located in Yuba City and Marysville, at Fremont Hospital (non-pregnancy-related tests), at the Cancer Center, and for those patients scheduled for tests or procedures at Rideout Memorial Hospital.

244 residents from Rideout's Senior Care facilities – The Gardens, The Courtyard and The Fountains - were safely relocated to other care facilities throughout the night and early morning of February 13-14. Rideout will make arrangements to have all Residents returned once the Yuba County evacuation order is lifted. Family members of residents were called as the residents were being relocated as well as called with updates throughout the day today.

Rideout has remained in constant communication with state and local leaders, health care leaders, police, fire and ambulance who are working to ensure that all of our patients are cared for and remain safe.

Rideout continues to care for patients at both Fremont Medical Center and Rideout Regional Medical Center including the Rideout Emergency Department.
