Tulare County Provider, Giving Back to her Communities

Araselia Gonzalez, who grew up in Cutler, Calif., is now caring for patients as a family nurse practitioner at Adventist Health / Community Care – Dinuba.

Gonzalez remembers participating in nurse’s aide training in Dinuba, when she was in high school. She fell in love with the profession and the opportunity to help others.

“After I graduated from high school, I began working as a medical assistant in Orange Cove. The physicians I worked with encouraged me to go back to school to become a nurse, so I did,” she says.

Gonzalez earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing from California State University, Fresno, and was awarded a scholarship to receive her master’s in the University’s family nurse practitioner program.

“I love interacting with patients and teaching them about diabetes and nutrition,” she says.

Gonzalez has been providing care as a nurse for 32 years and as a nurse practitioner for 18 years. She’s fluent in English and Spanish.

Gonzalez may be reached at Adventist Health / Community Care – Dinuba, 1451 E. El Monte Way, Dinuba, with the phone number of (559) 591-3342.
