Respiratory Rally

Community Needs

HANFORD – Adventist Health / Central Valley Network is proud to be a sponsor of the American Lung Association in California’s Respiratory Rally in Hanford on Wednesday, May 4.

The event is a call for the community to come out and learn about managing and living with lung conditions such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), Alpha 1 and asthma.

Medical professionals from Adventist Health and other motivational speakers will address topics that include:

· Latest COPD Diagnosis and Treatment

· Lung Cancer and Alpha 1 Screening

· Pulmonary Rehabilitation for Life Longevity

· Lung Health Resources and Tools

In a 2016 Adventist Health survey of 1,000 residents in 12 Valley communities, air quality and related health issues ranked as a top issue, with 1 in 5 residents citing air pollution, asthma, allergies or respiratory issues as the No. 1 concern for their community.

Adults with lung disease, family members and caregivers are welcome to attend this free event from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 400 N. Douty St. in Hanford. Space is limited, so register today at: http://action.lung.org/site/TR?fr_id=14519&pg=entry. Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.
