Adventist Health Entities Win Awards and Accolades

Awards & Recognition

The Women’s Choice Award uses evidence-based quality designation that drives consumer and patient appreciation through education, empowerment and validation and recognize hospitals that deliver a recommendation-worthy customer experience. The following Adventist Health hospitals received this award.
 

  • Castle Medical Center - America's Best Hospitals Obstetrics
  • Castle Medical Center - America's Best Hospitals Emergency Care
  • Walla Walla General Hospital - America's Best Hospitals Emergency Care


    The Leapfrog Group released its seventh round of hospital safety scores. For the first time viewers can see every grade that a hospital has received since it first started scoring hospital safety in June 2012. The score is based on 28 safety measures. “A Grades” were given to the following hospitals:
     

    • Adventist Medical Center - Portland
    • Glendale Adventist Medical Center
    • Feather River Hospital
    • White Memorial Hospital

      Critical Access hospitals Howard Memorial Hospital, St. Helena Hospital Clear Lake and Tillamook Regional Medical Center were not included in the scoring. 
       

      Glendale Adventist Medical Center was awarded two Healthcare Public Relations and Marketing Association (HPRMA) Golden Advocate Awards for its Glendale Galleria Sky Banner and Americana at Brand Kiosks.

      Sonora Regional Medical Center’s Skilled Nursing received a five-star rating from Medicare. SRMC is the only nursing home in the area to receive this rating. The rating is based on health inspections, staffing and quality measures. 

      The Center for Wound Care at Sonora Regional Medical Center received the Robert A. Warriner III, M.D. Center of Excellence award. The Center earned this award because it has achieved patient satisfaction rates higher than 92 percent and a healing rate of at least 91 percent in less than 30 median days, among other quality standards for the last four years. 

      The Society of Chest Pain Centers has re-designated Walla Walla General Hospital as an Accredited Chest Pain Center, one of only eight in Washington State to achieve this distinction.

      White Memorial Medical Center received the prestigious “Baby-Friendly” designation by Baby-Friendly USA. Currently, fewer than 10 percent of all hospitals across the nation have achieved this designation.
