Family Nurse Practitioner with Doctorate, Caring for Kingsburg Community


KINGSBURG – Dee White, DNP (Doctor of Nursing Practice), FNP (Family Nurse Practitioner), has joined the staff at Adventist Health / Community Care – Kingsburg.

For the past 19 years, she’s been part of the loving family at Adventist Health / Community Care – Selma. She’s making the transition to Kingsburg because of a need in the community.

“I’m looking forward to caring for patients in Kingsburg and going through new challenges and opportunities,” she says.

White earned her doctorate in nursing practice from Rocky Mountain University in Provo, Utah, and a Master’s and Family Nurse Practitioner training at California State University, Fresno. She served as a nurse practitioner for 16 years with the U.S. Army Reserve Medical Corps.

“I knew I wanted to get into medicine when I was 12 years old,” she says. “I remember watching a program on the brain and anatomy, and telling my mom and dad that’s what I wanted to do.”

White enjoys the education part of being a health care provider. She believes in caring for each patient as an individual. She takes same-day appointments for a variety of illnesses and injuries.
