Adventist Health Southern California Network hospitals participate in a medical mission trip to Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, Philippines

News

For the first time in history, the four Adventist Health Southern California Network hospitals – White Memorial, Glendale Adventist, San Joaquin and Simi Valley – participated in a medical mission trip together to Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, Philippines. From June 20 through 24, our team of 50 medical and non-medical volunteers attended to 2,323 locals, some of whom had to travel six hours to get to the mission site, queue up as early as three in the morning and wait another four hours in line just to be seen. Thank you to our volunteers – including our very own President & CEO John Raffoul and 19 others from WMMC – who gave their time and energy to serve those in need, Chaplaincy for coordinating the trip, and to everyone else for your contributions, well-wishes and prayers for our medical mission in the Philippines. See more about the trip on pages 1 & 8 and click here to view our Facebook album of photos thanks to John Raffoul and Esther Ong.
