Volunteers Needed for New Community Emergency Response Team

Community Partnerships Sonora Regional Medical Center is organizing a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and helping find new members for the American Red Cross to assist others in the event of an emergency. The Medical Center is holding two informational sessions for community members who are interested in volunteering and learning more about the CERT program and the American Red Cross.

CERT teams are recognized nationwide by the Federal Emergency Management Agency and provide community support by helping prepare citizens for local disasters and assisting emergency services personnel when requested.

To learn more about joining the Community Emergency Response Team, please attend one of the information sessions – Monday, January 26 or Thursday, January 29, 5:30 to 6 p.m. in Conference Rooms 1 and 2 at Sonora Regional Medical Center. Refreshments will be provided. Please call Marc Stevenson at (209)-536-3364 for more information.
