Visitor Precautions in Place to Protect Patients from Flu

Health Alert

The health and safety of our patients is always the top concern for Adventist Medical Center. Due to increasing influenza activity in the Portland metro area, Adventist Medical Center is taking additional precautions to help slow the spread of the flu.
Effective Monday, Jan. 12 the following visitor restrictions will take effect in all areas of the medical center, throughout the duration of flu season:

  • No more than two visitors per patient at any time.
  • Visitors ages 18 and younger are limited to immediate family members only.
In addition, anyone who has potential flu symptoms—such as fever, cough, sore throat, or runny and stuffy noses—is asked to refrain from visiting or coming to work.
