Indian Rock Prompt Care Expanding Hours

Urgent Care

The Emergency Department at Sonora Regional Medical Center has become a very busy place. When the hospital was built in 2004, the Emergency Department (ED) was designed to see 80 patients per day. Now the hospital averages 110 patients per day. On a daily basis there are times when all of the treatment rooms are full, making it necessary to provide care in the hallway for many patients seeking treatment. In response to these challenges, the Medical Center will undergo an extensive remodel of the ED, Admitting and lobby areas. The construction project is expected to begin soon and will be complete in mid- to late 2016.

The ED will continue to provide emergency care throughout the entire remodel. However, there will be construction noise and changes to how patients navigate through the ED. To help offset patient volume in the ED now and during the upcoming remodel, Indian Rock Prompt Care, located at 14540 Mono Way in Sonora, has expanded their hours to accommodate more patients. They are now open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Angels Camp Prompt Care is also available seven days per week from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. No appointment is needed at either location.

Please visit our Prompt Care page for more information about our hours and locations as well as information about whether your illness or injury is best treated at Prompt Care or the Emergency Department.
