Announcing our Legacy Award Winner, Rufinita “Nita” Jaurigue, for her 50 years of service at the White

Awards & Recognition At our Governing Board meeting in July, we recognized our latest Legacy Award Winner, Rufinita “Nita” Jaurigue, for her 50 years of service at the White! Nita began her employment (getting paid $2/hour!) in the Laboratory, and there she still remains to this day. One of her favorite memories was the Centennial Celebration in 2013. She comments, “It’s amazing to think that I have been at the hospital for “half” the time it’s been around!” During the award presentation, Nita shared nothing but words of gratitude for the Board’s guidance and leadership over the years to help keep the hospital’s doors open as long as they have been to work here for so long. “It’s an honor and I wouldn’t choose to work anywhere else. This is my home. Thank you.” Photo caption (L-R): Mara Bryant, John Raffoul, Legacy Winner Nita, Dhobie Wong, Beth Zachary and Scott Reiner.
