Psychologist Offering Care in Kerman


KERMAN – Jennifer Soares, PhD, is caring for patients who suffer from adult depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, grief and loss at Adventist Health / Community Care – Kerman.

The Turlock native attended California State University, Fresno, initially wanting to become a forensic pathologist so she could work for the FBI. But she says she took a class on psychology in crime and became interested in the psychology aspect.

“I like to focus on people’s strengths and empower them,” she says.

Dr. Soares graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology. She earned her Master of Arts in forensic psychology from Argosy University in Point Richmond, Calif., and a Doctoral of Philosophy in forensic psychology from Alliant International University in Fresno.

Dr. Soares has five years of experience providing mental health services in hospitals and offices.

In her free time, she enjoys participating in marathons, traveling and cooking.
