GAMC Celebrating 110 Years with Gala on April 19

Glendale, CA – The Healthcare Foundation at Glendale Adventist Medical Center will host a special anniversary celebration Gala with tributes and commemoration on Sunday, April 19, at the JW Marriott, L.A. LIVE, Platinum Ballroom, located at 900 West Olympic Boulevard, Los Angeles. The hospital has been serving the community for 110 years. Proceeds from this event will benefit Glendale Adventist Medical Center programs and services. Generous support from the community has played a major role in developing services at the hospital; now a 515-bed hospital with centers of excellence in heart care, stroke care, joint replacement, spine surgery and award-winning cancer services. Last year the Gala raised a record $615,000 and enabled the purchase of a Leica microscope, providing surgeons with state-of-the-art technology to meet the urgent needs of emergency stroke and heart patients.

The black tie event will feature a gourmet dinner, live auction, prestigious awards and a special performance by Tony Orlando. Complementing its fund-raising efforts, GAMC will present the 2015 Physician Hero award to Philip Merritt, MD, orthopedic surgeon. This award is based on nominations from grateful patients.
