REEDLEY/DINUBA – Board-certified OB-GYN Dr. Preeti Srivatsa has joined Adventist Health / Community Care clinics Reedley Jefferson and Dinuba West.

Dr. Srivatsa is from India. Both her mother and father were OB-GYNs, so they were her inspiration for pursuing this specialty.

“I didn’t know anything different,” she says.

As part of her undergraduate studies, Dr. Srivatsa studied general medicine and general surgery at Osmania Hospital, Osmania University, in Hyderabad, India. She received her medical training at the same university.

Dr. Srivatsa moved to Rochester, Minn., for her residency training at the Mayo Clinic. She’s board-certified through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Before coming to the Central Valley, Dr. Srivatsa practiced in the Midwest for 12 years. She came here to support her sons, who are going to college to pursue careers in the medical field.

“My 15-year-old is currently attending California State University, Fresno, and my 17-year-old will be going to Duke University,” she explains.

Dr. Srivatsa’s last name may sound familiar to some. Her husband, Dr. Sanjay Srivatsa, used to be a cardiologist with Adventist Health. He now practices in Fresno.

In their free time, the two enjoy traveling. Dr. Srivatsa also enjoys arts and crafts, such as sewing, and reading and cooking.

Dr. Srivatsa is fluent in both English and Hindi. She may be reached at Reedley Jefferson, 1150 E. Washington, 559-638-2154; or the Dinuba West clinic, 250 W. El Monte Way, 559-595-9890.
