Women’s Imaging Services Celebrates Pink October and Offers Low Cost Life Saving Mammograms

MARYSVILLE, October 2014 — In the U.S. a woman will die from breast cancer, on average, every 13 minutes. What does it take to fight breast cancer? Early diagnosis.

In recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month the Women's Imaging Services at Fremont Medical Center, 970 Plumas Street, Yuba City is offering low-cost mammograms during the month of October to under or non-insured women over the age of 40. Successful treatment of breast cancer is often linked to early diagnosis. The fee for eligible women is only $30. This special fee is available for women over the age of 40, who do not have medical insurance or are under-insured.
