Medical Center Offers Lecture Series on Dementia

General May 20, 2014 (Sonora, CA) — Sonora Regional Medical Center is sponsoring a free monthly Dementia Lecture Series that is open to the public. Each session includes a topic of interest to people affected by Dementia. Caregivers, family, friends, spouses, and significant others are welcome. Each lecture occurs on the first Wednesday of each month from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will be held at Skyline Place Senior Living, 12877 Sylva Lane in Sonora. 

The 2014 lecture dates and topics are as follows: 

June 4th

July 2nd 
Caregiving, Tips for Every Successful Caregiver, What is ‘Normal’ Aging 

August 6th 
Dementia Care and Pain Management 

September 3rd 
Preventing Dementia: 6 Key Steps You Can Do NOW! 

October 1st 
Communication and Dementia: Can We Talk? 

November 5th 
5 Stages of Grieving, A Long Goodbye 

December 3rd 
Making the Most of the Holidays
