Adventist Health Names New President

The board of directors of Simi Valley Hospital’s parent corporation, Adventist Health, has announced the appointment of Scott Reiner as the organization’s president. Following a transition period, he will assume full duties in his new role by the end of March, when the current president retires.

“Scott has a long history of service as a key member of our senior leadership team at Adventist Health,” said Ricardo Graham, chairman of Adventist Health’s board of directors, in a news release. “His demonstrated excellence in leadership, forward thinking, clinical experience and dedication to our vision will be assets to his new role as we progress in our mission focus.”

As senior vice president at Adventist Health—one of his previous roles at the corporate office—Reiner chaired the boards of nine Adventist Health hospitals, including Simi Valley Hospital, for four years. Before joining the corporate office, Reiner was the CEO at Simi Valley Hospital’s sister hospital Glendale Adventist Medical Center in Glendale, California, for seven years.

“I had the privilege of working directly with Scott for many years and am very confident in his leadership and excited for how he will lead Adventist Health moving into the future,” said Simi Valley Hospital President and CEO Kim Milstien.
