General

Local orthopaedic surgeon Scott Hutson, MD, is joining the medical group at Walla Walla General Hospital, beginning January 2013.

His current office location at 1017 S. Second Ave. Ste 1 on the WWGH campus and other contact information all remain the same, although the name of the practice will now be Adventist Health Orthopaedics. Thomas Shaver, a physician assistant with the practice, is also joining the Adventist Health team.

“Throughout my career as an orthopaedic surgeon I have strived to provide my patients with the highest possible quality care in a warm, friendly atmosphere. With the continuing changes to the health care climate, it has become clear that I can best care for my patients in the future under the umbrella of Adventist Health,” says Hutson.

Hutson has been an orthopaedic surgeon at the hospital since 1982 and is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He has served as chair of the WWGH surgical/obstetric department and has been a member of the trauma committee since 2000.

Adventist Health Medical Group, a medical practice owned by Adventist Health/Walla Walla General Hospital, includes 20 physicians and specialists including family practice, internal medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, neurology, sleep medicine, general and plastic surgery, and now, orthopaedics.
