Complete Health Improvement Program (CHIP)


This class, taught by Ginny Gabel, will begin again in February. The information sessions are Feb. 10 and 11 from 6:30 to 7:30 (choose one), and CHIP classes will meet Feb. 24 - March 27. CHIP is a lifestyle medicine program, teaching participants how to take responsibility for their health through diet and exercise.

Most CHIP participants are successful in reducing their weight, blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol and triglycerides in as little as four weeks. Some CHIP students achieve dramatic results, such as reversal of Type 2 Diabetes. Students receive before and after lab work to test their baseline numbers and assess the changes they achieve; they receive nutritional information, recipes and cooking tips for healthier eating.
