American Lung Association Honors Adventist Health

HANFORD - The American Lung Association presented a plaque to Adventist Health / Central Valley Network for the nonprofit organization's participation in its Freedom From Smoking Online program. Adventist Health sponsors community members' enrollment in the  program through a form atwww.BreatheEasyCV.com 

Dr. Saqib Rashid, medical director of the Adventist Health / Lung Care Center in Hanford, accepted the award on the network's behalf at a news conference on Feb. 21. At the event, Adventist Health joined the American Lung Association, the Kings County Tobacco Coalition, the Kings County Department of Public Health and the Kings Partnership for Prevention in thanking CVS Pharmacy for announcing that it will discontinue tobacco sales in October.
