Welcome Donna Bechthold

Donna Bechthold, RN, BA, is serving as interim vice president of patient care services December 2013 through February 2014. She previously held this role from 1987 to 2011, when she retired.

Donna felt called to return to TRMC on a temporary basis following Karen Kellar’s departure. “It’s been a wonderful two and a half years,” since she retired, Donna said. “I have loved retirement and I love the hospital, too. A year ago I would not have been ready to come back to work. But when Larry (Davy) asked me, I felt like it was the right thing to do, to help out in this time of transition, with both Karen and Larry leaving close together. That could be hard for staff. I am a hospital board member; I am committed to being of service. I checked with my family, and they supported me. I am glad to be back. I look to the Lord to give direction as to what He may want to accomplish during this time.”

We welcome Donna back to TRMC and thank her for her heart to serve. Her warm smile and gentle spirit, her expertise, leadership and commitment to mission are a blessing to us all.

Donna has degrees in Nursing and Health Care Administration, has held certification as a professional in healthcare quality and as a Christian life coach, and as a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. She has been a member of both the American and the Northwest Organization of Nurse Executives. In her 31-year career, she gained experience in all clinical areas including obstetrics, surgery, intensive care, medical/surgical, and emergency, as well as in community health education, staff development and advanced leadership roles.
