Willits, CA — On Saturday, June 29, July 27, and August 24, Frank R. Howard Memorial Hospital (HMH) will provide free sports physicals to children of all ages enrolling in a sports program. The examinations will be held from 9:00 a.m. – Noon in the 11 Oaks Conference Room located at 1040 South Main Street. Dr. Michael Medvin, Dr. John Glyer and members of the patient care staff have generously volunteered to donate their time to conduct the exams. HMH will provide the medical forms needed for enrollment in a sports program. There will be information about Diabetes education and prevention, blood glucose testing, healthy recipes and eating tips, and fun giveaways. Executive Chef Kyle and his Culinary Team will provide healthy snacks and beverages.

"I am so excited that Howard Hospital is reaching out to the community by offering free sports physicals,” Emergency Department Manager, Amy Buckingham, RN, CEN said. “I hope that children, regardless of household income, will be able to participate in sporting events.”

Walk-ins are more than welcome; however, we are requesting an RSVP to schedule an appointment. To RSVP, call Kristen at (707)-456-3127. The 11 Oaks parking lot will be made available so there is no need to heed the “Employee Parking Only” signs on the sports physical examination dates only.
