Walla Walla General Hospital to Host Spiritual Care Symposium on Emotional Intelligence

Walla Walla General Hospital will host the 3rd Annual Spiritual Care Symposium on Friday, Jan. 18, from 9 a.m. until noon. This year’s event will focus on “Emotional Intelligence: The Key to Spirituality in the Workplace” and will feature Paul Crampton, assistant vice president for mission and spiritual care and Adventist Health.

“We created the Spiritual Care Symposium to provide fellowship, education and skill building for those in ministry, healthcare and mental health professions on topics related to spirituality and healthcare,” says Mario DeLise, chaplain at WWGH. “The topic this year will be particularly interesting as it explores the link between the spiritual climate and emotional intelligence in inspiring the best of each of us as individuals and organizations.”

The symposium is sponsored by WWGH and the Walla Walla University School of Social Work & Sociology. It meets criteria for continuing education. It will be held in the WWGH Auditorium, at 1025 S. Second Ave., in Walla Walla.

Registration and more information are available online. Registration is $15 per person and $10 for students. The deadline to register online is January 16.
