Retech Investing in the Health Care of Mendocino County

Health Alert

8/20/2013 - Retech Investing in the Health Care of Mendocino County

Ukiah Valley Medical Center recently received its largest corporate donation to date from Retech Systems, LLC in support of the capital campaign to build a new emergency department/ trauma center and intensive care unit. Retech, located in Ukiah, is a global leader and manufacturer of advanced thermal processing equipment.

Leroy Leland and Eric Petereit, both executives at Retech said the decision was an easy one. “I’ve been a long time resident of Ukiah. My grandparents lived here, and I raised my children in this community. I understand the need for a new emergency room, intensive care unit, and trauma center. It’s important for the residents of our community to have direct access and availability to resources that will keep them in the community for care. Likewise, it’s equally important to us at Retech to have a good hospital when recruiting new hires and their families to the area,” said Leroy.

Eric also pointed out, “Our employees live in this community. Part of having a strong community is having a great hospital! Making this kind of contribution not only benefits our own employees but everyone living in Mendocino and surrounding counties and we’re glad we can help in this way.”

According to Marty Lombardi, capital campaign co-chair, “The $150,000 contribution will go a long way in helping UVMC reach our $4,000,000 goal in community support to the new campus expansion project.
