PGA Legend and NBC lead golf analyst Johnny Miller joins St. Helena Hospital Napa Valley to host 23rd annual Golf Invitational

Napa Valley, CA.
St. Helena Hospital Napa Valley invites golfers to join PGA legend Johnny Miller in our 23rd Annual Golf Invitational with the goal of raising $75,000 benefitting Intensive Care Unit upgrades. Hallmark activities in the tournament include an exclusive "Golf Skills Clinic," hosted by Miller, along with traditional tournament activities, contests, hospitality and prizes.

Johnny Miller is well-known within the golf world, having been ranked as one of its top champions with spectacular victories at the 1973 US Open and a string of 12 tournament wins in 1974-75. Inducted into the World Golf Hall Of Fame in 1998, Miller now holds the role as lead golf analyst for NBC Sports, as well as being an active and successful golf course architect. The tournament will take place on Miller’s own re-designed and highly rated North Course at Silverado Resort and Spa.

"The ICU staff takes care of our most critically ill patients. Extra diligence and attention is given to monitoring, evaluating, and treating our ICU patients," states Nia Lendaris, RN, Vice President for Patient Care, while expressing how the funds raised in this tournament will impact the ICU. "We rely on the use of sophisticated technology to help the critical care team of physicians, nurses and therapists respond to even subtle changes in condition that signify a potentially dangerous shift in a patient's status."

"It's events like this, and the generosity of our community, that enable St. Helena Hospital to be the Top in the West in patient satisfaction," says H. Razavi, MD, FACP, FCCP, FAASM, Medical Director, St. Helena Hospital Intensive Care Unit. "We strive to offer the best services we can and with these funds going toward our ICU upgrades, we can continue to save more lives than ever."

Last year this event completely sold out with 144 participants and raised $50,000 benefitting cardiovascular education programs. We are looking forward to another exciting event this year with 90 golfers registered to date. Sponsorships are still available including Par Sponsorships, the Luncheon Grill Sponsorship, and the Awards Honors Dinner and Auction Sponsorship. In addition, participants may register on-line at www.SHJohnnyMillerGolf.org for this 18-hole tournament individually or as part of a foursome. Entry fee is $300 for an individual golfer or $1,200 for a foursome. For more information call (707)-963-6393 or email Ben Hill at at Hillbe@ah.org.
