Walla Walla General Hospital Celebrates First Year of Advanced Cardiology Services at Open House August 1.

Walla Walla General Hospital invites the community to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the hospital’s cardiac catheterization lab at an open house Wednesday, Aug. 1, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. This anniversary marks a full year of providing advanced cardiac diagnostic and emergency care to people in Walla Walla and the surrounding communities.

Come celebrate this milestone and learn what a cath lab is and how WWGH is helping patients each day with these new tools. Cardiologist Brad Titus, MD, FACC, and the rest of the cath lab team will be on hand to answer any questions about diagnostic and emergency catheterization procedures. Models and tools will also be on display to more fully explain how the process works and the types of procedures performed in the lab. Light refreshments will be served.

Over the last few years WWGH has had an increased focus on cardiac care for patients in Walla Walla, including:

  • Improving the speed and quality of the Emergency Center
  • Receiving full accreditation as a Chest Pain Center
  • Adding a highly qualified cardiologist to the medical staff
  • Opening a high-tech cardiac catherization lab
  • Starting the area’s only STEMI program performing emergency angioplasties and stenting

The open house will be held in the cath lab at 1025 S Second Ave in Walla Walla. For more information about the cardiac care program at WWGH or the anniversary open house, call 527-8302.
