East Meets West For Match Made in Heaven

At some time or another there is an innate desire to head west. For some it’s the allure of mountains, for others surf, or the wonders of tall trees, sights, smells, and tastes never experienced before.

In the case of Anne Martin-Ko, M.D., it’s a combination of all things west. “I have always been fascinated with California, the amazing landscape, the redwoods and the people. And I found it all here in Ukiah. It’s a beautiful rural area and has a wonderful diversity of people. It’s also in close proximity to my son who’s attending Stanford,” said Dr. Martin-Ko.

Dr. Martin-Ko comes to the Ukiah Valley from Clarion, Pennsylvania, where she has been in private pediatrics practice for the past 19 years. According to Dr. Martin-Ko, she enjoys general pediatrics, “I enjoy the growth and developmental process of children and watching them grow into adulthood, it truly brings me joy.”

According to Gwen Matthews, CEO at UVMC, “It’s such an honor to have someone of Dr. Martin-Ko’s caliber joining our already robust pediatrics group at the Ukiah Valley Rural Health Center and we look forward to her making a positive impact on our community.”

Dr. Martin-Ko is now seeing new patients at the Ukiah Valley Rural Health Center, pediatrics office located at 260 Hospital Drive, suite 204 in Ukiah. Dr. Martin-Ko accepts most insurance plans including Medi-Cal, and can be reached at (707)-463-7459. To learn more, visit www.uvmc.org.
