21st Annual Fairway to Health Golf Benefit

Rideout Press Releases

The Rideout Health Group Celebrates 21 Years of Golf and Giving at Fairway to Health Golf Benefit. Proceeds go towards Rideout Emergency Department Expansion Project.

A major fundraiser for the Rideout Foundation, Fairway to Health 2011, will celebrate 21 years of golf and giving on Friday, May 6, 2011 at Peach Tree Golf & Country Club in Linda, CA – 8a-10p.

The tournament has provided well over $1 million to support programs and services such as Fremont and Rideout Hospitals, the Rideout Cancer Center, the Heart Center at Rideout, Fremont-Rideout Hospice, the Quality of Life Attendant at the Fountains, Financial Aid Scholarships, Fremont-Rideout Cancer Center and Hospice Discretionary Funds and other affiliated projects and programs.

Proceeds from this year’s tournament will benefit the Rideout Emergency Department Expansion project. Currently, the Emergency Department facility comprises only 12,000 square feet; state and local emergency planners confirm that the additional 5,000 square feet planned for the expansion will be necessary in order to keep pace with demand.

The Emergency Department was last updated in 1996 and designed to serve 25,000 patients per year. Since then, Yuba-Sutter’s population has grown by more than 59%, and now the emergency department serves more than 55,000 patients per year; more than double its original capacity.

An expanded Emergency Department will allow us to deliver emergency services in a safe, efficient and patient-friendly manner. The enlarged facility will increase the total number of beds to 37, and include: 13 multi-use Observation Beds; A Rapid Care Exam Room, improving “door-to-discharge” times for patients not requiring admission to the hospital; An additional Triage Room, substantially improving initial patient assessment and care; A dedicated Radiology Room and CT Scan room.

The Fairway to Health schedule of events includes: Golf Tournament 8a-4:30p and a sponsor party and dinner beginning at 5:30p-10p with no host bar, silent auction, casino games and Dueling Pianos entertainment.

The Rideout Foundation, Committee and Board of Directors wish to thank the more than 100 Sponsors, more than 200 golfers, many volunteers and supporters for their help and continued dedication to our independent, not-for-profit health care organization.

For more than 100 years, neighbors - and perhaps generations of families - have turned to Rideout Health Group for their health care, and in return they have contributed generously to help grow programs, services, and to build facilities. The Fremont-Rideout Foundation nurtures that long-standing partnership with the community. This partnership helps us make a positive difference in our community’s health care and medical services.

Every gift regardless of its size makes a difference and 100% of EVERY donation benefits the program or service that donors choose – right here at home.
