Bakersfield Hospitals Serve Up a Helping of Gratitude For Kern County Emergency Medical Services

Event In celebration of EMS Week (May 16 through May 22) local hospitals will honor the day-to-day lifesaving services of medicine's "front line" with a “Salute to EMS” BBQ.

LOCATION: Central Park At Mill Creek (Located on between 21st and 19th Streets, just east of R Street)

Bakersfield Memorial Hospital, Kern Medical Center, Mercy Hospitals of Bakersfield, San Joaquin Community Hospital and Bakersfield Heart Hospital are partnering to honor Kern County first responders, including paramedics, EMT’s, ER staff, dispatchers, fire fighters and law enforcement, whose dedication to providing critical care in the field makes a meaningful difference to the residents of our community every day. The “Salute to EMS” appreciation event is one of many taking place across the nation. This will be the 37th annual Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week and this year’s theme is "Anytime. Anywhere. We'll be there.
