Walla Walla General Hospital Announces New Administrators

General

Brian Anderson and Jackie Fullerton are promoted to vice president

WALLA WALLA, Wash.--Two new executives have been announced at Walla Walla General Hospital. Starting this month, Brian Anderson is stepping into the newly-created role of Vice President for Physician Services, and Jackie Fullerton is the new Vice President for Patient Care.

Anderson and Fullerton are not strangers to WWGH. Anderson arrived at WWGH in 2008 with Adventist Health’s two-year Administrative Resident program where he was involved in a variety of business development activities, including the acquisition of the former Blue Mountain Medical Group. Following the completion of the residency program, Anderson agreed to accept the title of vice president and will continue as administrator of Adventist Health/Medical Group.

Fullerton came to WWGH in 2002 as the Unit Coordinator for the OB/Gyn Unit and advanced to be the Director of Women’s Services in 2007. When the previous vice president took another position in the Adventist Health system, Fullerton served as interim vice president during the national search for a candidate.

“Jackie and Brian are excellent leaders,” says Monty Knittel, WWGH president and CEO. “They have each been doing a tremendous job and I look forward to continuing to work with them.”

Prior to coming to Walla Walla, Fullerton worked at Bingham Memorial Hospital in Blackfoot, Idaho, and Adventist Medical Center in Portland, Ore. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Idaho State University and is in the final stages of completing a Master of Science in Nursing/Master of Healthcare Administration degree from the University of Phoenix.

Anderson has also had previous experience in administrative roles. He was Vice President and CFO of Capitol Medical Center in Olympia, Wash. He also served as the controller at Adventist Medical Center in Portland, Ore., and has held positions at Florida Hospital in Orlando, Fla. Brian has an MBA from the University of Central Florida and is also a CPA.
