The TLC was established in an effort to engage young adults who have demonstrated outstanding leadership skills and a strong desire to make a difference in our community. Membership is an opportunity open to students who excel in academics, who are leaders in their school and have an interest in healthcare. Membership in the TLC is free.

In 2009 the Teen Leadership Council organized and hosted the OODLES of NOODLES fundraiser. Over $6,000 was raised to benefit five Rideout Same Day Surgery rooms. TLC's efforts helped create a more soothing environment for patients to lessen the stress associated with surgery. The patients will now enjoy aesthetically pleasing rooms, with televisions and DVD players.
