WWGH Foundation Hosts Gala 2009

News Get ready for Gala 2009, featuring Tom Bodett, author and broadcast personality best known for his role as a Motel 6 spokesperson.

Bodett also hosts the television series "Travels on America's Historic Trails," a 13 episode travel/history series airing nationally on public television and the Travel Channel. His other broadcast endeavors include the award winning, syndicated radio programs "The End of the Road" and "Bodett & Company," and he is a frequent panelist on NPR’s satirical weekend news quiz, "Wait, Wait--Don't Tell Me!" In addition to his seven books and sixteen audio publications, Bodett's writing credits include book reviews for the New York Times and reviews and articles for the Los Angeles Times.

The annual gala is Saturday, November 14, at 6:40 p.m. at the Marcus Whitman Hotel & Conference Center. The event will include music by WWGH employee Lonna Leno and a live auction with renowned Portland auctioneer Gale Crosby.
