Focus on Quality: Community Forum to Address Current Patient Safety Issues

News

The quality of health care is a hot topic right now--one being addressed by Congress, state legislators, and our own city.

Walla Walla General Hospital invites you to join staff and physicians at a community forum on patient safety and transparency in health care on Tuesday, Oct. 20, at 7 p.m., in the hospital’s Auditorium.

Moderated by President and CEO Monty E. Knittel, the forum panelists include experts in health care and patient safety:

  • Keith Dorum, MD, is vice president for clinical effectiveness for Adventist Health

  • Carol Wagner is the vice president for patient safety for the Washington State Hospital Association

  • Harvey Crowder is the director of Walla Walla County’s public health department

Dorum and Wagner will also make several presentations earlier in the day on topics especially relevant for hospital employees and physicians. Booths on safety initiatives and public health issues will be available in hospital dining rooms throughout the afternoon and evening.
