San Joaquin Community Hospital's Weight-Loss Program Awarded Nine Gold Standard Achievement Awards

Awards & Recognition San Joaquin Community Hospital's Bariatric Solutions meal replacement program was recently designated as a recipient of nine 2008 HMR Gold Standard Certificates of Achievement. These awards distinguish SJCH's Bariatric Solutions from hundreds of clinics nationwide using the weight loss program developed by Health Management Resources (HMR), a national health care company.

HMR recognizes programs that demonstrate excellence in performance and patient care by presenting Gold Standard Certificates annually to a select group of clinics across the nation. Certificates are awarded in categories such as greatest weight-loss rates, outstanding group attendance, and best weight maintenance data. HMR programs nationwide submit clinical data in these areas and the top programs are presented with the HMR Gold Standard Certificate of Achievement.

"At Bariatric Solutions, we're dedicated to excellence," said Sheri Seal-Bailey, Bariatric Solutions' director. "Through our HMR program we provide patients with a plan that accommodates their busy schedule and teaches them to keep the weight off for life."

SJCH offers a comprehensive approach to weight loss that includes in-depth lifestyle education, personal coaching, and the option of medically supervised treatment. With both in-clinic and at-home weight-loss options, the clinic has serviced hundreds of individuals in Bakersfield. In November, Bariatric Solutions will host the 5th annual Bariatrics Celebration for both HMR and surgical weight loss patients. For more information on SJCH’s Bariatric Solutions call (661) 869-6760.
