- Frank R. Howard Memorial Hospital (HMH) is pleased to announce the arrival of a new physician to its family of caring professionals.

Jonathan Linthicum, M.D. has joined the Orthopedic Joint Center for Northern California at HMH. A native of California, he graduated from Loma Linda University School of Medicine. He finished an internship in the surgery department of Loma Linda Medical Center, and later obtained his certification in Microsurgical Techniques from the Medical Center's Department of Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Linthicum went on to take his residency training in Orthopedic Surgery at Loma Linda, and finished his fellowship at the Texas Center for Joint Replacement.

Dr. Linthicum has conducted and presented multiple research initiatives in the area of orthopedics. He has also won multiple awards for his research efforts. In addition, he is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.

"Dr. Linthicum will make an outstanding addition to our Orthopedic Joint Center (OJC)," commented Kevin Erich, President and CEO of HMH. "He will be joining Dr. Bowen and Dr. Gunther who are looking forward to his contribution and participation in the OJC. I'm pleased to welcome him as part of our medical staff."

"I spent a month-long orthopedic rotation with Dr. Bowen at Howard Memorial Hospital while in medical school," stated Dr. Linthicum. "I not only learned a lot during that month, but really enjoyed the unique atmosphere at the hospital. No other hospital I have worked at has the sense of purpose and community that I enjoyed at HMH." Dr. Linthicum went on to say, "when Dr. Bowen contacted me to see if I would be interested in coming to Willits, I could not think of a place I would rather be."

Dr. Linthicum is married to Summer Linthicum who has her doctorate in physical therapy and will also be joining the team at HMH. The hospital welcomes Jonathan and Summer to Willits, and looks forward to their service to the community.
