Raul Ayala, MD, MHCM
Board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, Dr. Ayala serves
as Designated Institutional Official (DIO) of the Tulare Family Medicine
Residency program. He is the Market Medical Officer for Adventist Health
in the Central Valley and sits on the networks’ governing boards.
Program Director

Muhammad Nausherwan Khan, MD
Board-certified in Family Medicine, Dr. Khan has over 14 years of experience as a medical doctor and specializes in Family Medicine, Hospital Medicine, and Population Health. Dr. Khan serves as Program Director of the Tulare Family Medicine Residency program. He received the 2021 Best Faculty Teaching Award; and was twice honored with the Faculty Award for Exceptional Resident Mentorship from the WellSpan Family Medicine Residency Program. In addition, he received the “2014 Resident Teacher Award” from the Penn State Family & Community Medicine Residency Program.

Sarah Sammons
Two years of experience working in GME. A member of the AFMA, Sarah supports the Tulare Family Medicine Residency program core faculty and residents.
Core Faculty

Hannah Laimer, DO Board-certified in family medicine, Dr. Laimer practices obstetrics. She is part of the Core Faculty for the Tulare Family Medicine Residency program and a member of the CCC and PEC. She will teach women’s health and obstetrics care, supervising residents at the FMP, including continuity labor and delivery for patients of the FMP.
