Graduate Medical Education
Residency programs
Committed to the education of future generations of medical professionals, Adventist Health in the Central Valley serves as the sponsoring institution of two residency programs in Hanford and Tulare, where new physicians receive hands-on training in family medicine. Additionally, a pharmacy residency program is tailored to provide clinical experience to future pharmacy providers.
Resident physicians have the unique opportunity to advance their medical careers in a seamless environment, following their patients through every step of their care journey, from an inpatient setting, through their diagnosis and treatment and transition to follow-up care at an outpatient office. The residency programs in Hanford and Tulare enable residents to train in an array of disciplines, including emergency medicine, medical-surgical and labor and delivery.
Residency programs not only train new physicians, but also provide patients with increased access to providers in their community.
