Walla Walla General Hospital Enhances Cardiac Services
Walla Walla General Hospital will soon have a new a new cath lab to enhance the range of cardiac services it offers. When complete, the $2.3 million project will comprise a state-of-the-art cath lab for coronary angiograms, a rapid, accurate diagnostic tool to help determine the best course of care for patients with cardiac symptoms.
The 2,800-square foot lab is scheduled to be operational by early summer 2011. The lab has been designed as a multi-use area, and also can serve as an operating room for vascular studies and surgery, interventional radiology and interventional pain procedures. In addition, the cath lab will allow patients to remain at the hospital for more invasive procedures.
