Sonora Regional Medical Center Debuts New Imaging Center

Sonora Regional Medical Center will open a new Outpatient Diagnostic Imaging Center in mid-February. The new 11,000 square-foot imaging center will provide state-of-the-art digital imaging technology and an additional laboratory draw station for a broad range of medical diagnostic tests. The center will house medical screening technology from Siemens Medical Solutions, including an open bore MRI, 64-slice CT, digital mammography, ultrasound and X-ray. The imaging center will be a fully digital environment including a digital patient record that acquires, stores and retrieves diagnostic images in PACS. This digital technology allows radiologists to interpret the results from the Imaging Center, the hospital campus or even at an academic medical center where an expert can review the image.
