Simi Valley Hospital Opens New Patient Care Tower
Simi Valley Hospital recently celebrated the opening of its new patient care tower. Several hundred people joined the festivities that included a dedication ceremony, ribbon cutting and tower tours, as well as refreshments, a “Kidz Zone” play area and live entertainment.
The building project, which broke ground in 2002, features a four-story, 146,000 square-foot Patient Care Tower—complete with 128 private-care rooms, an expanded ICU and an entire floor dedicated to Women’s and Children’s Services.
When the tower officially opens for patient care in coming weeks (after receiving approval from the state), it will feature: private rooms with private baths, as well as pull-out beds; a new Level 2 neonatal intensive care unit; eight new labor suites; wireless Internet for patients and visitors; and 13 additional ICU beds.
