San Joaquin Community Hospital’s Stroke Center Awarded National Certification
San Joaquin Community Hospital was recently awarded national certification and becomes the first and only nationally certified advanced stroke program in Kern County. The hospital earned the distinction from The Joint Commission after an on-site review in May. The hospital’s stroke center underwent an extensive evaluation by a team of Joint Commission reviewers and was evaluated against Joint Commission standards through an assessment of the program’s processes, ability to evaluate and improve care within its own organization, and interviews with patients and staff.
