San Joaquin Community Hospital Opens Inpatient Burn Unit

San Joaquin Community Hospital recently opened a new inpatient burn unit as part of its burn treatment program. One year after opening The Aera Clinic, SJCH’s outpatient Grossman Burn Center, the hospital officially opened its new inpatient Grossman Burn Center. Located on the third floor of the hospital, the inpatient burn center is a four-bed unit offering the latest in burn-care technology, including a hydrotherapy treatment room and Nintendo Wii rehab.

In just over a year, the SJCH Grossman Burn Center has filled a huge health care void by caring for nearly 400 patients and their families. Although the inpatient burn center has been operating out of the hospital’s regular ICU, the completion of the permanent location will offer patients enhanced privacy in a brand new, state-of-the-art unit.
