Reiner to Succeed Dodds as Executive Vice President/COO
Scott Reiner has been named executive vice president and COO of Adventist Health, according to Robert G. Carmen, president and CEO of the Roseville-based health care system. He will succeed Larry Dodds, who will retire May 2011.
“Scott has been a key member of our senior leadership team at Adventist Health for several years and previously served as the CEO of our largest hospital,” stated Carmen. “His forward thinking, clinical experience, insightful leadership and dedication to our mission will be assets to his new role as we continue to propel our organization forward.”
Currently, Reiner is a senior vice president for Adventist Health, a position he has held since January 2007. Previously, he was president and CEO of Glendale Adventist Medical Center. Prior to joining Adventist Health, Reiner was the senior vice president of Strategic Operations at General Health System in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He also served as vice president of Specialty Operations and vice president for Development and Managed Care at Tennessee Christian Medical Center in Nashville, a former holding of sister corporation Adventist Health System.
Reiner holds a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Pacific Union College in Angwin, Calif., and a master’s degree in Health Administration from California State University, Northridge. Reiner and his wife, Margo, have two children; a son, Christian, and a daughter, Alixandria.
