Park and Fitness Trail Planned for New Hanford Hospital
A park and fitness trail will be part of the new Adventist Medical Center—Hanford campus with the goal of offering an inviting and beautiful environment to promote healing. Landscape crews are planting 235 trees and more than 15,000 shrubs and flowers around the building and in an adjacent park. The new hospital’s landscape plan features a park and fitness trail with six separate stations. The area, which covers more than two acres on the south side of the hospital, also will feature tables and benches for visitors and family members of patients to enjoy. Inside the new hospital and adjacent Hanford Medical Pavilion, crews also are working hard to prepare the buildings to open later this year. The new campus is slated to open in late 2010.
